Patient: Ravi Kumar
8-year-old Ravi was bedridden for two years with a severe bone condition. His parents, marginal farmers in Bihar, had exhausted their savings on treatments that provided no relief. In our largest eye camp yet, held in rural Uttar Pradesh, we screened over 1,200 elderly patients. 200 of them received free cataract surgery over a week-long camp. The oldest patient was 92-year-old Dadi Kamla, who hadn't seen clearly in 15 years. When the bandages came off, she wept seeing her great-grandchild for the first time. This camp restored sight to an entire community.

Savitri Bai
When Savitri completed TSHF's community health worker training, she became the first healthcare resource in her village of 800 people. In her first year, she identified 12 cases of tuberculosis, referred 8 pregnant women for institutional delivery, and vaccinated 45 children. The training gave her not just medical knowledge but economic independence and community respect.
